Introduction to the Unit

This unit introduces learners to the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, focusing on what it means to be an entrepreneur and how entrepreneurial ecosystems play a role in supporting the creation and growth of businesses. The goal is to empower mothers re-entering the workforce or starting a business by equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.

Overview of Learning Objectives

This unit aims to introduce learners to the foundational concepts of entrepreneurship. By the end of the unit, participants will:

• Understand the Definition and Scope of Entrepreneurship: Learners will be able to define entrepreneurship and recognize the various contexts in which entrepreneurial activities take place.
• Explore the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Learners will gain insights into the key elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including the support structures and resources available to aspiring entrepreneurs.
